Bridge to Terabithia

Just watched "Bridge to Terabithia". It's about this boy, Jess who befriends this girl, Leslie and as usual...... they formed a friendship and together they form this magical kingdom in the woods. There was this part in the movie where Leslie who have never been to church before followed Jess and his family to church on a sunday and after that on the way back had this interesting conversation going on between Leslie and Jess' sister who's only about 6-7 years old.

Leslie: The whole Jesus’ thing. It’s really interesting isn’t it?
Jess' sister:It’s not interesting. It’s scary
Leslie: You have to believe it and you hate it. I don’t have to believe it and I think it’s beautiful.
Jess' sister: You have to read the bible. If you don’t then God will damn you to hell when you die
Leslie: I don’t think so. I do not think God goes round to damn you to hell. He’s too busy running all this!
And she stretch out her hands to show the surrounding areas.

It's funny how some Christians have got a distorted view of God and non-christians have got a more simply view of Him.

I like this movie a lot. If you are expecting a fantasy movie then I think you'll be dissapointed. I like how the story explores the creative and imaginative minds of kids. It's makes you remember your own childhood and all the crazy imaginative stuff you thought of. hmmm... I think I'm going to get the book and read it.
